Virtual Pirtek Racing took 9th place overall from 28 teams competing the team’s championship of the TORA Touring Car Championship. VPR's AnonCaliga, OcR Brock and Ryanvxracing took the three Pirtek Racing BMW's onto the track at Brands Hatch for the season finale races in which TORA scheduled the use of the full GP layout of the circuit to close the season off.
The racing got off to a rocky start with multiple incidents in race one and two not to mention several instances of the safety car being used. Race three wasn't without its drama either with some drivers from other teams and independent drivers becoming somewhat hostile in their driving style causing again many instances of collisions that really could have and should have been avoided. Race three was lead for several laps by VPR's AnonCaliga but having suffered engine damage during the race start his car was down on power allowing him to finally be caught and inevitably passed by the following pack. The team's best results for the season finale races came from VPR's Ryanvxracing who managed to secure the team and himself a 4th in race one, 7th in race two and 7th in race three. AnonCaliga took 11th in race one, 12th race two and 12th race three. Last but not least VPR's Brock took 14th in race one, 13th race two and 13th race three. VPR's Jayc1975 driving the solo 'VPR CTech Motorsport With ZX1' BMW secured a very respectable 15th place overall from 29 indy teams competing the independent team standings. Having only competed in two rounds of the entire TORA TCC season due to CTech Motorsport adding the additional team car quite late into the season Jay made marvellous progress securing his 15th overall end of season indy placement. Race results and VPR's Jayc1975 took 10th in race one, 9th race two and 9th in the final race three. On behalf of the team management we would like to extend our thanks to all of our team drivers for their valiant effort all season long. Well done everyone and onwards to the next season. |
